Why we use non-direct insurance companies
Playing the long game with The Money Multiplier pays dividends, and a lot of them. We’re talking direct recognition vs non-direct recognition companies and how they affect your dividend money.
Remember:
A dividend is like a bonus that the insurance company declares for you as projected in the non-guaranteed portion of their banking policy with you. When they do well, they regularly and annually declare a “return of premium” back to you, or a dividend. We often refer to these dividends as bonuses.
Different companies handle dividends in different ways.
Direct recognition companies can adjust the dividends they will give to you, the policyholder, if you have outstanding loans. Since we specifically teach you how to take loans and keep your money in motion while it grows, you may often have outstanding loans, which is why we tend not to partner with direct mutual companies.
Non-direct companies do not care how much of a loan you have when declaring dividends and sending them to you. They will give you the money they have illustrated from your plan design, or from the annual letter in the mail, no matter your loan balance. All of the companies we choose to partner with have been giving their dividends for over 100 consecutive years. And since loans are assets to banks and we’re now the banker, we’re taking loans as often as we need.
We generally don’t want to rely on a dividend affected by your outstanding loans. So we are going to choose to stick with non-direct recognition insurance companies for our banking policies.
