Not every life insurance agent knows IBC

Not every life insurance agent knows IBC

For many of you, your first introduction to the Infinite Banking Concept was from a source, or insurance agent, other than The Money Multiplier. And that’s okay! This is a community effort, spreading the news of the amazing benefits of Infinite banking, and I’m always glad to see people who want to help others lead a better life.

However, there is a downside to this community involvement and it comes in the form of misinformation.

Those who sell life insurance can be quite knowledgeable about what they do. But if they aren’t specialists in the Infinite Banking Concept, how to build the right policy, and how to use that policy, then it may be in your best interest to find someone who is an expert in what you’re trying to achieve.

How do you know if someone is an expert and not just claiming to be? The answers aren’t always black and white. But there are a few questions you can ask to help determine if your professional relationship with this agent or company will serve you.

  • How do they make their money?

If your insurance agent stands to gain A LOT from the sale of your policy, you may want to second guess their motives. Ask them directly, “How do you make your money?” and determine for yourself if it’s fair or not.

You’ll never pay The Money Multiplier a penny. We make a commission from the insurance company. However, we take a 60-90% cut on our commissions so that money can go back to you to be used the way we teach inside your banking policy.

  • Can they provide references?

We live in a world where word of mouth, reviews, and referrals hold a lot of weight. Now, not every review has to be sparkling, but 90-95% of insurance agents should be. If you see a trend in how they’ve done business with others, good or bad, you can be sure they’ll do business with you that same way.

We’re always asking our Money Multiplier members for reviews, not just for your benefit, but also so we can constantly be evolving to make things better for you. And we openly display our customer reviews and encourage involvement so you can witness their successes first hand.

  • How long have they been in business?

Sometimes it seems like everyone you know and their mother is starting a business. Fads come and go. People see an opportunity and they try to cash in on the surge in that industry. But not everyone is equipped with the right knowledge, education, and experience to succeed. Ask about how long they’ve been in business. Do your research on the company itself and the insurance companies they work with. The more experienced, the better. And the longer they’ve been in business, the better their products, services, and their company tend to be.

I personally have been a customer of IBC since 2008. I became licensed in 2012 under another mentor and was teaching folks about IBC. In 2017, I branched out onto my own and started The Money Multiplier. I am currently serving over 3,000 clients across the nation. That history speaks for itself.

  • Do they have and use one of these policies personally?

If the insurance agent you’re working with personally uses the product or service they are trying to sell you, it’s easier to trust that it does what they say it will do. Someone who can’t personally endorse what they’re selling should be a red flag to you. We can’t live on hopes and dreams. Ask for their personal proof that it works!

Every insurance agent with The Money Multiplier needs to have their own policy in force and being actively used before they can start writing policies for other people.

  • Do they sell or do they educate?

There’s a huge difference between someone who is educating you about something and someone who is trying to sell you something. Education is for your benefit. You get to decide based on the facts if it’s a good fit for you. When you are sold something, it is for the benefit of the person selling the product or service, which may lead to them leave out a few important details. Make sure you have someone on your side who wants to educate you above all else.

Money Multiplier agents never sell. We teach. And we’re always creating free content for our audience to learn more about what we do and how it could work for them.

You don’t know what you don’t know.

But you do your best to find people and companies you can trust to do the right thing by you. Unfortunately, some people take advantage of that kind of trust or they are simply uneducated in that field.

Never underestimate the power of doing your due diligence, especially with your finances. One step in the wrong direction could lead to years of trying to get back on the right track. But one step in the right direction can change everything for you in the best way possible.

Ultimately, you’ll want honesty and transparency with whatever company you decide to go with. Start there and good things will follow.
