Ownership of money

Take Ownership of Your Money — No One Will Care More Than You Do

Let’s get one thing straight:

No one will care about your money more than you.

Not your CPA. Not your financial advisor. Not your bank. Not Wall St.
And certainly not the government.

They might give advice. They might help manage.
But the only person responsible for your money… is you.

That’s not a burden—it’s an invitation. An invitation to stop drifting and start directing.

Because when you treat your money with respect, it starts to respect you back.

The 6th Law of Wealth: Track Every Cent

One of the most powerful wealth-building truths I’ve learned is this:

Track every cent that flows in and out of your personal economy.

Every. Single. Cent.

Not just to budget—but to build awareness. Not to restrict yourself—but to reclaim control. You can’t fix what you don’t see. You can’t optimize what you don’t measure.  And you certainly can’t multiply what you don’t respect.

Money is stored energy. It’s a reflection of your time, your effort, and your ability to create.

If it’s leaking out through mindless spending, unchecked subscriptions, or impulse buys—you’re not just losing money… you’re draining your power. Most Americans, the ones not reading this article, are making low value financial decisions and the cost is astonishing, right now measuring in the Trillions with money owed to the banks and the government.

You Are the CFO of Your Life

Imagine the CFO of a company saying, “I don’t really look at the numbers… I just try to make sure we’re not broke.”

You’d be stunned. You would not want to buy from that company, work for that company, or invest in that company. You’d shake your head and think, “that’s absurd, hope they figure it out”

But most people, not you of course, run their personal finances that way—crossing fingers, hoping for the best, avoiding the hard look in the mirror.

Let me challenge you: Start acting like the Chief Financial Officer of your life.

That means:

  • Reviewing your finances monthly
  • Have a weekly Money Multiplier Meeting  *bonus, name your meeting
  • Tracking your income and expenses
  • Knowing your real cash flow—not just your paycheck
  • Building a plan for your money before it disappears

And here’s a simple place to start:
Block one hour a month—just one—and sit down with your spouse or by yourself.

Ask:

  • What came in?
  • What went out?
  • What was worth it?
  • What needs to change?

That’s how ownership begins. Celebrate the wins. High five, hug, go on a date night but celebrate the progress. Because ownership = freedom and progress beats perfection every single time.

Treat Money Like You Want to Be Treated

Money is a relationship. Again, most Americans but not you, are abusing this relationship. If you ignore it, it leaves. If you abuse it, it rebels. If you respect it, it grows.

So treat your money like you’d treat someone you love—give it attention, direction, and purpose.

Build a simple system to track it. Whether it’s a spreadsheet, an app, or a notebook, doesn’t matter. The key is consistency.

You’ll stop drifting and start driving.

Final Word: Stewardship Over Stress

This isn’t about obsessing over every dollar. It’s about becoming someone who can be trusted with wealth.

If you want more income, more freedom, more legacy—then start by respecting what you already have. Because freedom doesn’t come from making more money.

Freedom comes from owning the money you make.

So take ownership. Track every cent.
And treat your money the way you want it to treat you—in alignment, with respect, and for the long haul. When you respect your money, your money will respect you and you will grow. Write to us and tell us when you are going to start acting like the CEO of your financial life and share your wins.
